The spacers wheel fitted as standard on modern off-road motorcycles, if they are made of aluminum, highlight notoriously accelerated wear at the contact point with the oil seal lip. The groove that is formed at that point nullifies the action of the oil seal, resulting in the accelerated wear of the bearings, due to infiltration of water and earth.
